![]() ![]() I play on PC in a multiplayer lobby with my friends. So i have not played on controller, and i have not played off the same machine so i can't speak to those experiances. In DOS:EE (first divinity) you could use KBM + controller for the second player but I guess they removed this possibility for technical reasons in DOS 2. ![]() Ps: if you want to play on the same screen you will have to play with 2 controllers. The choice remains yours, depends on what you prefer really ! I'd say try both and see what suits you the best ) you can change your mind later by returning to the very first screen menu anyway and select what you want to use. My gf plays with a controller and she's fine with it, I'm a bit less casual than her and decided to stick to my KBM because I'm more used to it + I'm on a fix pc while she's on a portable one. So little qol stuff aren't accessible or need more actions with a controller but they remain perfectly bearable. Camera also behave diffrently with a controller: it will follow your lead character by default (even if you can toggle it by a button press if i remind it well), on KBM you can do the same by keeping you left click button pushed but also control it separately (which is helpfull to scout an area without getting in physicaly) with qzsd/wasd keys (so the difference is a button press => qol irl vs qol in game). Talking to pets is hard because you can't click them and most of them aren't statics npcs, you have to get close to them to start a conversation, leading to "i'm gonna kill that mother fraking rabbit running everywhere, come here already fluffy meatball !!" situations. Aiming particular spots ("I'm pretty sure I can launch my spell on that tiny pixel !!") gets a little trickier because of controller sensitivity and precision. Toolbar managment is bit more tedious than with KBM (it's still anoying with both, you will have to take some time to sort it properly). It means that you will lose some little advantages, here are some examples: To make it short i'd say playing with a controller is a trade: you trade a bit less comfort in game for a bit more comfort in real life.
